geat food, great service,
The rooms are tired, they need an update, very strong serage smells are present in the bath room, they appear to come from out side. The matteras is old and needs replacing.
My Husband & I spent one night at Ulun Ubud Resort & thought the view was awesome. Staff very friendly & helpful the only difficulty was the steps to & from the room I have a problem with my left leg & knee & found it quite challenging. But overall would definately reccomend taking the time to go & stay at Ulun it was a spectacular place.
The hotel complex itself is really interesting and so the view from the balcony. Staff nice and helpful. Very relaxing.
In the description of the hotel on Booked.net it says there is a bar and restaurant, room service. Unfortunately these facilities were not available. They just served breakfast in the morning and after that no food or drink on the site. Also the room was very basic, Having booked a studio instead of a basic room I was expecting something more. It seemed like despite being a unique hotel for the style, It has been abandoned by the owner resulting in a inevitable decline. Maybe the should rethink the room prices....
We were absolutely amazed by the location and rooms, views etc. great walks nearby and very friendly staff, sooo quiet and peaceful, we would always come back to this unforgettable spot.
Swimming pool was not lit up at night
Quiet atmospheric location overlooking verdant steep narrow river valley. Individual units with character and a private verandah where breakfast can be taken. Good local style breakfast.
Bathroom could be better. Old doors don't fit so well, not so good at keeping out insects etc. Continental style beakfast not so good. WiFi in lobby wasn't connecting correctly to servers during my stay; however working internet was available at the Fly Cafe, a short distance away.
Fantastic view. The staff are very nice and accomodating.
The rooms are unfortunately in squalid condition. Dirty, moldy, decrepit plumbing. Not worth the price. Pictures do not reflect the current state of the rooms.
The staff are really friendly and helpful.
The hotel is very dirty. There is a lack of maintenance in the rooms. The walls, bathrooms, etc are very old and dirty.
Very nice people, good servic, amazing location, very quite, only the maintenance of the room was a little bit careless.
The view of the jungle is great. The hotel is like an old ancient city. The staff is very helpful. The shuttlebus service is very good.
Bathroom would need some upgrade.
at least, standard room was worst! it was worse than guest house. a few staff was not kind, deligent
The staff were efficient and friendly. The location was beautiful with views of the valley and rice fields. Because the hotel was a few kilometers from central Ubud we needed to use the shuttle service daily but this was always provided promptly.
There were a few repairs needed with the stairs where smooth river stones have come off the underlying cement. These also become slippery when wet.The food was okay but the breakfast menu was limited. Some other repairs to the walls and some internal fittings are needed.
The only nice aspect was the quiet location & view of surrounding area.
The lack of facilities, disrepair of everything, limited menu items available. When we arrived we asked for beers, ice & pool towels & were told they were out of beer & ice, and we had to use our bath towels from our room. We checked out 3 days early & found a great hotel by the Monkey Forrest - Champlung Sari Resort. This hotel could not be faulted in any way.
Ulun Ubud offers a peaceful setting away from the busy Ubud centre. Magnificent views and surrounds, friendly staff and a free shuttle service that makes getting in and out of town hastle free.
Ulun Ubud is a great place in the over saturated, over priced world of Ubud hotels. The staff is top notch. They go beyond their call of duty to meet your expectations. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. There was wifi (which I didn't use and can't attest to it's quality). The pool is quite nice as well. They're located on a gravity defying cliff on the edge of town in the Sanggingan district but they offer a very prompt shuttle.
For the money I would've liked it to tend a bit more toward the luxurious but that seems to be the case in Ubud.
I dI'd not like it
My room was down there are no lift, so many frogs and snaks
